If you have any questions regarding the registration, please contact local@iss2016.acm.org. If you need an invitation letter, please send your request to local@iss2016.acm.org with proof of payment.

You should register early to ensure you can take full advantage of the entire conference and social program. Depending on registration numbers we reserve the right to limit the numbers who can attend the conference banquet.

In addition to ACM/SIG Member, Standard (Non-Member) and Student conference registrations, we offer ISS2016 day passes, Workshops, Tutorials + Studios day passes, and extra banquet tickets. Note that all amounts are listed in USD ($).

What's included?

1)

ACM/SIG Member, Standard (Non-Member) and Student conference registrations include the following:

  • Attendance at the ISS main conference sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • Attendance at the ISS poster and demonstration session on Monday evening
  • Lunch and two coffee breaks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
  • Opening reception on Sunday evening and conference banquet on Tuesday
  • Conference materials

This fee does not include ISS workshops, tutorials or studios. Please purchase a separate Workshops or Tutorials + Studios ticket to participate.

Student registrations: In order to complete a student registration, a valid student certificate needs to be provided. After registering online, please send certificates to local@iss2016.acm.org.

2) Workshops registration, which also requires prior conference registration, includes the following:
  • Attendance at one of the workshop events on Sunday
  • Lunch and two coffee breaks on Sunday

Please note that workshops are by invitation only and require an accepted submission.

3) A Tutorials + Studios full day pass which also requires prior conference registration, includes the following:
  • Attendance to all tutorial and studio events on Sunday
  • Lunch and two coffee breaks on Sunday
4) A conference day pass includes the following:
  • Attendance at the sessions of one of the ISS main conference days; either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
  • Attendance at the ISS poster and demonstration session on Monday evening
  • Lunch and two coffee breaks on the selected day
  • Conference materials
5) An extra banquet ticket can be purchased, which allows an accompanying person to attend the conference banquet on Tuesday.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of your registration, a processing fee will be applied. Prior to October 31, 2016 (23:59), cancellations will be charged 100 USD. No refunds will be given after October 31, 2016.

Visas

You may require a visa to gain entry to Canada. You can determine whether or not you require a visa using the following Government of Canada website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp.

Also, as of March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travellers with a valid Canadian visa.

The Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation letters for visas. We can however issue a visa support letter.

For visa support letters, please send all requests to supportletters@acm.org with the following information:

  • Your name as it appears on your passport.
  • Your current mailing address.
  • The name of the conference you wish to attend (ISS 2016).
  • Your registration confirmation number for ISS 2016.
  • If you are the author of any papers accepted for ISS 2016, please provide the title.
  • Your email address.

Please note visa support letters are issued via email by PDF, and the original is mailed to your current postal address.
